Set in the 52 acres of Aston Park1 Aston Hall is one of oldest buildings in Birmingham. Originally built as the home of the Holte family, it was the first historic country house to be owned by a municipal authority, and is maintained as a museum by Birmingham City Council.
The Hall was orignally built for Sir Thomas Holte, 1st Baronet of Aston
