Will Rogers

(1879 - 1935)

American stage, film, and radio actor.

Will Rogers was first noticed for his expert roping skills. He made the Guiness Book of World Records for throwing three lassos at once; one would go around the horse's neck, one around the horse's legs, and one around the rider (ouch!). He began demonstrating his roping on Vaudeville stages, where his joke-cracking quickly became more popular than his actual trick roping.
