Why, God, why? I never even got a chance to try!

Now all I do is sit and cry

And watch the milling crowds go by....

(Hmm.. this is starting to sound much too depressing... time to spruce it up a bit... )

The floating castles in the sky...

(also time for a new ryme me thinks so he is my first (and maybe only entry)

Make me feel that I can fly
When I've been watching them for hours

Dancing through the endless nights

And gazing at the flashing lights

The sparkling stars winking
in and out of existance

The distance between us shrinking
As we melt the resitance.

Moonlight reflecting o'er the lake
And glim'ring 'cross the meadow

Makes me shiver, makes me shake
As it dances through my head, oh

And when the leaves begin to fall

I sit and think about it all

(Why do I suddenly get the urge to type "And humpty dumpty had a great fall" ? )

And I remember, back in spring
When all the world was flowering
And all was new inside my heart
And fresh as when the snowbells start
Twas I who shouted out for joy
And danced upon the moonlit bay
Who whirled and twirled and sang with glee
And ran to greet each newborn day.

(This feels more like a poetry session than a lyric thing. )

Yes, it does. Yikes...how am I gonna top that?

Heh... I was under the impression that the idea wasn't to 'top' but to meld... I couldn't think of anything short to go with what had gone before.

Well, yes. But you haven't given me anything to meld with, so I've got to come up with something new. I'm not as good at that.
