Do so only at your own risk.
Nice clean city, if a little uptight.
People are friendly. They don't bat an eye when you get coffee in the morning wearing a bathrobe with your only posession is a Wallet (important) and a Towel (very important)
1st year university students are easy to pick up here. Especially at the beginning of a new school year.
Has a fountain in the middle of downtown that is good for dippin your melon in the summer. Caution do not try to swim.. Remember the city is a little uptight.
This is the place where women fought and won the right to go topless in Ontario. Though I doubt you will see such a show.
Bars /Eateries of note:
Shakespear Arms - Good friendly pub. Food is decent have a good selection of beer. The staff is very friendly. Only downside is that it is a little expencive.
Wok's Taste - Great chiness food.
Club Denim - Old standby decent crowd. Music varies some dance some rock.
Palace - Beware Cheap drinks average age 18. Dance music. Lots of fights. I would aviod unless you like feeling too old to party or want to hit in nubile young women and men.
The Trash - Loud, hot, did I say loud? This place rocks packed to the gills on Fri/Sat nights. Go here if you really know how to party.
Manor Hotel - Strip Club, nuf said.
Most bars are downtown, which is where all the buses congregate as well as the train station. Lots of places to get a Pita.
Raves are mostly underground - you have to know someone to find one.
The drugs are noteworthy average quality. Will take you about 20 min of hunting to get some downtown during the evenings. Caution though the quality will be fairly poor.
The police are fairly decent and tolerant. As long as you are not becoming too much of a problem.
That's all for now, I will update further at a later undesclosed time and date.
