Jimmy Buffett (often misspelled 'Buffet') is a famous rock musician from Mobile, Alabama, Earth. His musical style is eclectic and his audience widely varied. Buffett reached acclaim with his #1 hit "Come Monday" and is responsible for other well-known songs such as "He Went to Paris", "Cheeseburger in Paradise", and "Why Don't We Get Drunk." He has produced in excess of a dozen albums and released a 4-CD set titled Boats, Beaches, Bars, and Ballads that includes most of his work.

Buffett's fans are inexplicably referred to as "Parrotheads."

Buffett's musical career has spawned a writing career: his fame has enabled him to get books on both the fiction and non-fiction New York Times Bestseller lists. His most recent book is A Pirate Looks at Fifty, a sort of journal of his trip arround the Carribbean.

Despite massive success as both a musician and author, Buffett's greatest accomplishment is unquestionably this: He has conclusively proved wrong all the pedants who insist that inebriated hippies on drugs can never amount to anything.
