Pregnancy

2 Conversations

Pregnancy is considered by most humans on the planet Earth to be a state of supreme bliss, the nurturing instinct of the expectant female brought to full blossom by the impending arrival of the new life that they feel growing and moving inside them for a nine month period.

It is time someone blew the lid off this myth.

Pregnancy is, to quote one recently interviewed female 'nine months of hormonal hell'. You spend the first six weeks wondering why your clothes no longer fit, the next six weeks becoming very well acquainted with the interior of the bathroom and the remaining six months living in perpetual dread of the agonies of childbirth.

You feel fat, you feel frumpy, you get woken at 3am by the most vicious kicks this side of Wimbledon FC. Not to mention the frequent visits to the bathroom.

The ultimate reward for this almost-year of complete misery is a baby. So that's alright then.
