Shangri-La comes to Somerset three days a year.
The Glastonbury Festival (henceforth Glasters, Glasto, or other abbreviation) is a small city that appears in Somerset most years, just after the summer solstice, behind a fence. Inside the fence- tents, bands, drugs, raves, more tents, Hare Krishnas, a huge wicker man, jugglers, hippies, and more tents, to the nth power.
Naturally this makes it of prime interest to many Intrepid Travellers. But this city of splendours also contains drunken idiots, thieves, shady dealers, policemen, toilets , and E-Coli mud. And litter. And you will get very smelly indeed. You have been warned.
