Orange juicer

0 Conversations

A orange juicer is a small dish with a serrated cone in the middle upon which one may place half an orange (or a lemon, a lime, or a grapefruit) pulp-first so as to extract the juices within the pulp. This juice may then be poured into a glass for drinking, or used as an ingredient in a recipe of some kind.
Orange juicers are sometimes given to couples as a wedding gift, or given to individuals as a Christmas gift, but as gifts they are not received terribly well.
Many people can go their entire lives without owning an orange juicer simply by eating peeled oranges as they are, or by purchasing ready-made or frozen concentrated juices. The orange juicer, therefore, is a non-essential kitchen utensil.
