There's a lot of related discussion about virtual communities (we're one here at h2g2 I suppose), disembodied identity, interactivity, hypertext and all sorts of other things.
Why I took a subject in it I'll never know, although I may well live to regret it.
In any case. a cyberculture is a living breathing oxymoron; it has implications of globality (which means that it's everywhere) and locality (which means that it's just around the corner).
It's a lot of fun to poke one and then watch the results...
