Croquis

(French for sketch-life dawing) The anatomic study and drawing of a life nude model are normally only arranged at art schools. But there are evening classes too and so called free croquis. That means there are no education and the drawers pay for each occation. The sessions are 20 min long with breaks inbetween, and the poses can be from all 20 min to no time at all (moving model).Figure-drawing is the ultimate challenge. It's difficult not to have preconcieved ideas of that you see. There's a battle between your left analysing brainhalf and your right creative one. It's important to keep the sketh open and not start working on details at first.A help to get the right balance to standing poses are a vertical line. From that you can measure the placing of the feet in proportion to the head. The intervening space forms are also helpful. The body can be looked at as a puzzle of simple forms like boxes, cylinders, globes and cones.Whith shall be fitted together with the right proportions to build a unit.
