The fact that sponsoring was needed says it for me.
1900 amps of current. You need some serious cables for that. (and cooling I think)

I know that some of the electric drag motorcycles actually burn up their motors on each run, or at least they did for awhile.) They're insanely fast. Much faster than the cars.
I'm not sure what the current records are, but here's one doing the quarter mile in under 8 seconds.

Who are these people who really think it's safe to lean out of a train window?

Darwin Award winners?
My favorite is a local fellow, (Houston, TX) who played Russian Roulette with a semi-automatic pistol. There WAS just one bullet in the magazine.

From Darwin Award winners to winners with a lot of bottle. The IWSC - International Wine & Spirit Competition – have declared that the most beautiful bottle on is the Isle of Wight's Mermaid Gin: https://www.iwsc.net/news/iwsc/the-most-beautiful-bottles-in-the-world
I like to think that somewhere the robot formerly known as Cher – who starred in terrible film 'Mermaids', which really should have been called 'Unexceptional Women With Legs' - is

I am really excited about this. They have found fossils, quite near us, which show that bipeds were walking about in Europe 6 million years before previously thought.

Of course, it may be that this was just a glitch in evolution, and the apes tried walking but then decided it would never catch on, after which the practice died out for a few million years.

Maybe they didn't want to move, despite rising sea levels, so they went bipedal to keep breathing?

Heh... Here's the companion story from Florida. A teen boy causes a school bus evacuation with his liberal use of Axe body spray.

Memories from secondary school.
Three girls grabbing a boy, the fourth emptying a full can of Axe over him.
Luckily, someone could lend him a (sort of) fresh t-shirt for the rest of the day. Nobody exploded. Even with the new t-shirt, we had to open the windows to allow him to attend classes without suffocating. The locker with his original sweater was off limits, but nobody called 911.

The early '80s version of this was a kid in my high school getting pushed down by some girls, shattering the bottle of Polo by Ralph Lauren inside the pocket of his Michael Jackson jacket (yes, the kid wore one glove).

This reminds me of me witnessing a poor old guy here in Cardiff being sprayed with (I presume) deodorant as he tried to get on my bus a couple of years back... by the driver!
When I commented to my wife how disgusted I was by this... let's face it... assault, a couple of women sitting across from us commented that ... "Well he does STINK"
To which I replied that they should maybe hope that they are not like that when they grow old and vulnerable.
School bullying is one thing, carrying it on into adulthood is another entirely. I still regret not having the oomph to report it both to the bus company and the police. Having said that, I later found out that the guy had been banned from Cardiff's buses so I guess the offensiveness of the driver's behaviour was institutionalised.

I once got onto a bus with a group of friends after a winter hike (you know, campfires all weekend, tents remain upright after removing the poles because the fabric has frozen stiff, that kind of thing). Anyone entering the bus after us tried to get as much distance between them and us to be able to survive the smell… We could have used some deodorant back then. Although I suppose the deodorant would have lost, or maybe we would have seen the creation of new life through some arcane chemical reaction.
