Dot Pitch

0 Conversations

An important element to consider when purchasing a new monitor, dot pitch refers to the distance between one dot on a CRT and the closest dot of the same colour. Typical values for a 17" monitor range from 0.23 to 0.28, with smaller values providing a better picture.

The dot pitch value for a monitor tends to be inversely proportional to the amount of money you spend on it. It also tends to be directly related to the amount you end up spending on glasses after staring at said monitor for eight hours a day.
