Media Moguls

Time-Warner-Turner, Fox, Disney, the BBC, media empires are everywhere. From the dawn of Time, our daily lives are shaped by the editorial decisions of these giant broadcasters. That leaves one essential question: who's the coolest?

Time Warner: The traditional media empire, a.k.a your parent's media empire. Politics: middle-of-the-road-nothing-too-controversial

Fox: Taking over the world, one satellite band at a time, a.k.a dr. evil's real life model. Politics: bait-them-with-sex-and-violence, hook-them-with-right-wing-pseudonews.

Disney: Disnifying the world for 75 years, a.k.a the mouse that roared, and roared, and lost its voice, then roared again. Politics: on the surface, no politics, its Disney, but if you've been to Disneyland, definately retro 1950's.

BBC: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz beep beep beeeep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Politics: controling the world through editorial omission.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
