Legend of Zelda for GameCube-Saving without Dying

0 Conversations

If you've got the Collector's Edition of Legend of Zelda for the GameCube, but are somewhat clueless about guessing how things are done like I am, you'd look for walkthroughs of Zelda Quest 1 and Zelda Quest 2 on the internet.

They exist! They are mostly pretty good. Once I found a really good one somewhere improbable like eBay or somewhere else that has community pages but which isn't really about gaming, but can't find it again.

<erm> But they're for the NES.

To save without dying, press 'select' so that you get the black screen that shows above your working map that tells you how many triforce pieces you have and what your B button items are. On that screen, and on no other screen at all, press the 'X' button. The game will give you an option to continue/save/retry. Press the 'Y' button to change between the three options, and then press the small red 'select' button again. If you chose save, your game will save and it will also quit.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
