Newcastle upon Tyne, England

1 Conversation

Newcastle is a city on the North bank of the river Tyne, facing the much less famous Gateshead, on the South. It is famous for its several bridges, including the Tyne Bridge which was a prototype for the Sydney Habour Bridge in Austrailia. Also the term 'Coals to Newcastle' comes from this city, although this has become relevant again with the demise of the coal industry throughout the north-east of England.
Newcastle is also famous for it's night-life, which is VERY good.
