Swansea

Swansea is the nearest city to wher I live. It is the second largest in Wales.

The people that inhabit Swansea are called Jacks, or Swansea Jacks, I believe that it is after an heroic dog that saved
someone from drowning.

Anyway, what Swansea is most famous for is Dylan Thomas, a fact that Swansea as a place has a lot of pride. There is
a drink (how appropriate) named after him, and there is a section in his local pub named after him, but unusually there
is no smoking permitted there.

Swansea also has what the locals laughingly call a beach, well, its not so much a beach, more of a place where they
choose to occasionally risk swimming. It's not as bad as it used to be now, but it will never really be a tourist attraction
(unless someone famous goes blind from swimming there).

Swansea also has a lot of clubs, now this is as far as I am concerned, Swansea's one saving grace, not that I am much
of a club goer, but the scenery that it provides on a Friday evening is great. Hundereds of skimpily clad slender young
ladies crowd around the Kingsway, and the Highstreet, so if you do ever decide to visit swansea, go in the night, and
for safety's sake, stay in the car!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
