The narration is indeed brilliant for this clip.

Skankyrich, for so resoundingly dragging h2g2 into the 21st century, and only 8 years late, I salute you. Really. Its great.

Now we (as in, ideally not just rich ) just need to build on this and previous successes, and increase awareness amongst the h2g2 population that text, and maybe a photo if you're lucky, is no longer the be all and end all of EG media capability.

Who knows - with a new AV clip every month, initiated and submitted by a variety of researchers, we might just convince the beeb to let the most hoopy of froods Jim Lynn let us imbed our clips in the page itself .

What we really need to take this forward is more people who can actually make clips, and more animators. At the moment, our output is limited by what I can put together in terms of filming and sequencing, and by what you can animate. Video sequencing is actually quite easy, and most people already Windows Movie Maker installed on the PCs; it's really just convincing people to give it a go, I suppose. I know Bel has taken her first steps in sequencing, which is very good news indeed.

You make a very valid point about the embed tag. I think I've mentioned on the group that I think working on a tag will be low priority while we only have a few clips, but perhaps when we're up to 20 or so bloody good ones that might change. One a month is certainly doable with the group we have, and I think we'll see a lot more movement and a lot more clips in the next month or two.
