Where Do Babies Come From?

Mummy, Daddy... Where do babies come from?
That right, little Johnny has decided the big stork story no longer holds weight, and he wants answers. Now.
No matter how many euphemisms you care to band about involving birds, bees or other small animals, explaining human reproduction to one's child is never going to make the top ten of parenting pleasures. Of course, there's no reason for nature's wondrous act to be taboo, but reality requires a careful balancing of the barefaced facts with factors such as age, maturity and innocence.
Did your parents take the initiative and spill the beans when they felt the time was right? Or did misinformation gleaned in the playground leave you red-faced in health education classes. We want you to tell us:
What were you told by your parents as a child?
How would you best tackle the subject with children of different age groups?
Where do you draw the line in what you divulge? What is best left unsaid?
What lies were you told? And when did you stop believing them?
At what age did you start/stop giggling every time you heard the word 'sex'?
