Mercedes Lackey (WIP)

1 Conversation

Mercedes Lackey (aka "Misty" which I shall use because it's shorter) has written a large number of books, mostly fantasy. A large number of them are based in, or rather on, a world named "Velgarth". They cover a large stretch of history and most of a large continent. The original stories were based in the country of "Valdemar" and starred the Heralds. The books are mostly arranged in Trilogies, some of which revolve around a particular character.

If you want to check stuff out, the two best places to visit are

Misty's own website

and

The SciFan page for Mercedes Lackey.

I ought to mention that Larry Dixon, Misty's husband, co-authored quite a few of these which I haven't marked up yet.
He is also responsible for many of the illustrations in the Velgarth books.

As noted below, Misty is a great collaborator and several of the series incorporate books by other authors. Since this was supposed to be an entry on Misty herself, I haven't decided whether these ought to appear here. Maybe it would be better to give each series or universe its own entry and link to them from here?
