The little boy watched the screen. The man on it dressed in full regalia was making a speech.
"I demand that these infidels be stopped! Before another attack happens!" The man cried. "The bombs are coming closer to us and yet our government is blinded by it's own pomposity!"
"Here, now!" argued another man dressed in blazing white robes. "I have done every thing in my power to secure the safety of every person within the city."
"Except eliminate the threat," Said the first snidely.
The boy looked back towards the kitchen, "Mommy, will the shobagans really get to us?"
"No, no, my dear child, the chancellory guards will protect us from those filthy men...." consoled the mother as she walked through the door way.
"But..."
"He is just an instigator, dear, a trouble maker. They'll sort him out you watch."
Just then, the house shook. Screams of terror echoed from the streets. Staser fire was erupting through the windows. The mother was petrified, too frightened to move.
"Mommy!" Cried the young child. The mother looked down the child had a massive burn on his chest.
"No!" screamed the mother as she grabbed a hold of the boy and carried him outside into the chaos.
A staser went off, and then a second one. The woman fell, the child fell with her; landing limply on the mosaic tiles.
"We break into the Presidential debates to give you this emergency annoucement. The southern quadrant of the city is under mass attack from Shobogan terrorists. The Chancellory guard are demanding all civilians to remain in their homes, and to find shelter immediately," called a youthful man. "I repeat the southern quadrant of the city is under terrorist attack. Stay in your homes until the all clear is sounded."
[Now]
"You will bring him here!" Barked the man in ivory robes, from behind the regal desk of the President.
"But sir, it is like searching for a needle in a hay stack." replied a young uniformed man.
"There can't be many of those antiquities still on file!" roared the ivory robed man.
"He erased all tracking ability the last time he was here, sir," responded the man in the uniform.
"Are you telling me it's impossible, Restal?!" The ivory robed man glared at the man in the uniform.
"We are currently looking for the distinct output anomalies of his TT capsule," said Restal quietly. "It will take time."
"What of the other mission," said the ivory robed man.
"We think we have found it, but retrieval may not be easy."
"Why not?!"
"It becomes excitatory when scanned."
"you will bring it here, Rastel!" growled the ivory robed man. "Or else you'll end up like Spandrel!
"Yes, of course, Lord President."
"Go, get on with the search."
