Sanitary Product Television Advertisements
Created | Updated Mar 23, 2002
Areas of particular irritation:
• Tend to use catchy jingles
• generally are anything but discreet.
• Use paradoxical trademarks - like "Women Know" - So why do you need to tell everyone?
• In an effort to generate brand distinction, the adverts draw attention to the potential failings of existing products, verbally and visually.
They are likely to be embarrassing for any female viewers who would rather the whole issue was kept well and truly out of the public domain.
Also embarrassing for any male viewers who didn't want to know in the first place, and may have to witness the adverts in the company of women.
Will-a-hole-open-up-in-the-floor-and-swallow-me embarrassing when they find themselves strolling around the office humming one of the jingles.
