Why is it that when you find yourself a state of alcoholic stupor, you would quite happily sit down and eat tarmac if it was covered in chilli sauce? I need only to mention kebabs to strike a chord with Friday-night revellers in my home town of Harrogate. Is this Turkish delicasy an inebriate delight elsewhere? Or is there a regional trend?
