greek baggage handlers

Greek baggage handlers don't want to handle baggage, apparently. you'd have thought that people who didn't want to handle baggage would find employment in a field other than baggage handling. But not the Greeks. They agree to handle baggage, and then...strike. WHY??
If I was Greek, and I didn't want to handle baggage, I wouldn't go be a baggage handler. I'd work in a kebab shop, or a feta cheese factory or something...
Apparently they do not share my logic.
