I'm a senior, so I have 3 semesters to go (as if that makes any sense smiley - smiley)

I come from a small town called New Milford, PA wich is 7 miles south of the NY border on I-81. You may have heard of our town. A couple years back we managed to elect a dead man as mayor, proving that even a small hick town of 1000 people can aspire to become nationally renowned for it's stupidity. (We made the New York Times)

I don't know what else to say. What do you do at the school?

I'm in **hiss, hiss, boo** Public Relations...
After nearly a decade in newspapers, I made the switch to working regular, daylight hours setting up media events for our local school district.
Papers I've worked at that you've never heard of include: The Penn (at IUP), Elizabethtown Chronicle (twice), Hershey Chronicle (twice), The Carlisle Sentinel, and currently part-time at The Lebanon Daily News (yes, the place where they make bologna and have a "Bologna Queen")

Good luck with the studies!!

Hate the stuff myself - but down here, people are constantly stuffing it down other people's throats...
**THOUGHT** Maybe no one likes the stuff and that's why they're always trying to pass it off onto some other schlub!

And I am that schlub smiley - smiley

I think lebanon bologna is the only cold cut that meets my standard for saltiness. I like salt.

If you've ever been to Binghamton, NY maybe you've heard of spedies. Now that is a worthwhile local cuisene

I've never been to Binghamton, and I've never heard of spedies. What are they (is it)?

I wish I could give you a recipe, but I don't know one.

Spedies are cubes of chicken, pork, or beef, heavily marinated in a sauce not unlike (and usually includes) Italian dressing. You cook them on a skewer, and serve them on a slice of Italian bread. For some reason, even though the entire area loves the stuff, it has never spread more than 60 miles from Binghamton.

Odd really

That sounds good! I think I'll try it at my next BBQ.
Have you ever heard of Gazebo Room salad dressing?
