Certain residents had refused to accept Steel shelters provided by the Home Office and consequently the shelters have been stored by the Railway Company whilst awaiting further instructions from the Home Office.
The propaganda sub-committee publish a statement endeavouring to commence the
public that they were ill-advised not to accept the shelters. Those who cannot afford them will get them free of cost.
