Mount Ararat

Mount Ararat is a mountain located in North East Turkey. The mountain has spiritual and cultural significance to many peoples in the region, especially Armenians and other Christians.
Ararat is mentioned in Genesis as the place where Noah's ark landed after the waters receded.
The twin peaks of Ararat dominate the skyline in the Armenian capital of Yerevan. It features in much of the artwork of the region.
