Paulo Coelho is a Brazilian writer, best known for his work entitled "The Alchemist". His books touch on philosophy, the spirit and following fates path.
His books have been translated into as many as 56 languages, and he known and acclaimed around the world.
For me his best work is "Veronika Decides to Die" - which deals with the subjects of depression, suicide, panic and freedom. He has written other works as follows:
