Hey, this looks like an interesting group... does the team have an opening for "Fireworks Coordinator"? And I notice a band seems to be forming of its own volition...I play drums, how's that?

HappyDude - sorry about the delay, you are now our official wicket keeper
Marc - holy crap, a fellow Illini! I graduated BSME in 1995. I lived two years at Scott Hall in the Six Pack, and then two years at a house at Lincoln and Stoughton. I was going to write an article about the U of I, but I see you beat me to it. I enjoyed your article, although I must point out that the official name of the university is The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (notice that you linked to www.uiuc.edu, for example). Also, one of my former roommates now lives in Savoy, and might take exception to your comments about his new hometown. He is actually on h2g2, but hasn't checked his page in a year or so.......oh, welcome to the team, by the way.

Wow! That's awesome! I was amazed when I found that other article about streaking the Quad! I've been reluctant to submit the U of I entry, because I felt that something was missing... still not sure what it is yet...
I'm in Bromley, just a couple of blocks from the six pack, if you've forgotten the topography in the past few years. Heh, the Savoy thing, all I know about it is that's where the airport and the movie theater are, so I guess significance depends on your point of view...
Well it's 2 a.m., that means time to start studying...

Okay I made a couple of changes, C-U to U-C, and to the Savoy blurb... as a fellow Illini, I wonder, what do you think about my little pro-Chief paragraph? I hope that doesn't cause problems with the editors, being opinion and such...
Okay this time I'm really going to go study!

Hi Marc - I laughed when I read the little thing about the Savoy movie theater We used to go there all the time, mostly because the Co-ed only played a few movies......speaking of which, is the Co-ed theater still around? It was an old movie theater on Green Street.
Hey, you might want to mention Green Street in your article - the "main" street on campus (not counting Main St., of course ) has engineering row to the east and lots of student-oriented shopping to the west, as I recall.......
As far as the Chief goes, I think you would be best to list the pro and con arguments and leave it at that. Sadly, I never had a strong opinion either way on the subject.

Heya... not sure about the Co-ed theater... Green street is under massive construction at the moment, so you can't really see half of the shops and whatnot. Although I hear campus is perpetually under massive construction.
I guess I should be unbiased about the Chief in the article... but ya know, it's hard! It pisses me off when the mascot comes out on the field, representing our school, and our own people boo.
