I think you missed a verb or noun or added something in your reply (ie typo). No te entiendo.

So far it has been rather unathletic, I agree.

ahh yes, the dreaded "are" instead of "our". Too much time at the bar, I suppose.......

Well if the mayor can play on the team.. let me join. I'll kick some butt, as they say.

I just try to not mix politics with pleasure.

By the way.. it's Dudemeister without the capital "M". You'll have to get used to this name, being the mayor, and all.

I heard once that there is this democracy thingy. Do you know what that might be?

Yep,Dudemeister(without a capital *D*!)...it means that you're not in until all votes are counted....and it's no good spamming,I have experience of vote rigging,so will be keeping a careful watch on proceedings.smiley - smiley

OK. I will play by the rules - just need to know what they are. I never spam, and think such perpetrators should be forcefed the stuff (spam)- using their livers as pate. It's just well, London needs a dudemeister (note lack of capital).

How do we vote? Who are the candidates? Is the drop-dead date the 31st? This is Halloween as you point out - The evening before all saints day, when the evil spirits have their fling before the righteous spoil it for them.

In Mexico the 2nd of November is the "day of the dead". This has nothing to do with an aged touring folk-rock band but a celebration for those who have passed away. This is the day to visit the members of the family who are no longer and bring them things they used to like (Tequila, nice flowers for example), and have a party at the grave site. It is quite something.

If I become Mayor of London my first municipal act will be to implement a day of the dead in all of the City cemeteries. The goth types will be asked to dress in white and bright colours or risk incarceration (despite being untrendy).

If you need a photo, use this one (at this link):

http://www.newforce.ca/dudemeis/photos/antename.jpg

It is a picture of the future mayor very high in Mexico (2100m up that is). The paparazzi took this while he was standing on a 800m precipice explaining the plans for Covent Garden in the 21st Century. If you look really really hard in the backgound you won't see Big Ben, or even Texas.

P.S. You are welcome to browse my photo collection on www.newforce.ca/dudemeis/. I grant you permission to use the photo of me planted on top of a mountain peak for whatever purpose necessary for the mayoral campaign. I hope the rest is interesting. You can see what Mexico looks like outside of Club Med.
