Brilliant MT...i just want to be there!!
I have spent a few nights at that camp in the past, i missed a leopard feeding and drinking down by the fence at the dam by one night some years back.
It was on a bridge near there that a ranger was taken by an old leopard a few years ago...did you hear about it?

Yeah, me too. I still get that "driving in through Malelane Gate" feeling sometimes.

My favourite gate was Orpen, but if i was late leaving Joburg i would use the Malelane. Used them all at some stage or another, and they all have that same feeling.....what is that?...some form of escapisn perhaps....whatever, it is one of my favourite feelings ever.
Once through the gate..how long does it take you to crack your first frothy?.....lol

About long enough to put the Big Brown Bag with the lion on it in the passenger footwell and to tear open a packet of driewors (spelling appalling sorry).
