Jardin de Luxembourg, Paris

The Jardin de Luxembourg, set in the heart of Paris, is popular with both lunching locals and relaxing tourists.

This link gives a large amount of information about this beautiful garden, which includes, as its main feature, one of the main government buildings of Paris.

At the centre of the main part of the garden, from which it is possible to see the Eiffel Tower and Tour Montparnasse, is a large pond. This is often the location of many toy boat owners, from children to adults with professional-looking crafts. Surrounding the water are hundreds of seats which can be moved to the exact position required, for a whole day's worth of chasing the sun!
