DANGEROUS DOGS/STUPID OWNERS

After another scary incident with some idiots nasty dog, i feel it is about time this government did something.
I do not believe any 1 type of dog should be singled out because even cute/cuddly/aawwww dogs can attack - especially when brought-up wrong!! A dog is like a hand grenade in the wrong hands!!!
I have been chased, bitten, etc numerous times, but the latest incident was the scariest:
we were sat in garden with our beloved dog 'zac' on his lead (so he couldnt run off) at our feet.
Suddenly a great big fat 'staff' jumped into the yard and proceeded to attack our dog....he went straight for the throat, but luckily zac had a studded collar on so his throat was protected!!! Three of us managed to rescue zac.... we kicked, hit, whatever the dog to no avail - it wouldnt let go.... wiv adrenalin rushing my 21yr sis (zac's owner) yanked zac up with 1 hand and the staff in the other [how?].... she tried to pass me zac but my other sis dived for him, pushing me to floor infront of the dog which made a dive again for zac.... my sis picked up a safety gate and brought it down onto the dog, but, she also whacked me!!!! zac ran indoors and we managed to follow and slam the door!! looking out the window we saw the owner's 6/7yr son put the dog on a lead and go home: the poor kid looked so upset.....
meanwhile, my sis was checking zac, who was bleeding...... my mum was phoning the police..... i ran out to yell numerous obscenetries down to the owners.......foaming at the mouth......ran back to check zac - luckily(?) he only had slit ear and small cut to paw..... but, over £100 vet bill (GET INSURED!!!!)..... the police still haven't been [happened 1pm saturday]..... the owners of the dog haven't been seen [local drug user/dealer/thief wiv 2staff's n 5/6 kids]........ im still having nightmares.....
So, mp's: we want something done!!! this case only warrants a warning - peeps get away wiv owt!!!!!
