remain in romania

nia,a place of mystery and culture.
I stayed in a village called sabatanua near the ukraine border on a small family run farm.
I was the first foreigner ever to visit the place, its picturesque and beauty was straight out of a fairytale with the church on the hill the focal point. There was an almost medievil feel especially in its architecture and appearance of the locals.
They were friendly but cautious of me,who was this stranger in their midst,i went into the most basic of pubs and upon my entry you could hear a pin drop!
Next minute a local speaking in romanian offered me a local drink,'cheers' i said as i downed the vodka based drink.
During my stay i saw a pig slaughtered, cut up and every part of it prepared for cosumption by the family, who incidently distrubuted much of it for the locals.
It was like going back in time where materialistic possesseions
were minimal and a thing of the past.
I spent new years eve singing drinking and setting off firecrackers, simple but most pleasing.
Fairytales still exist even in the 21st century
