The Towel

A towel is just about the most useful thing any hitchiker can carry. You
can use it as a sail for your raft as you go down the River of Thurt,
sunbathe on it on the marble beaches of Santroginus Five, use it to cover
yourself from the Arkturan Megagnats as you sleep beneath the stars of Cakrafoon,
cower beneath it for protection to avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast
of Traal, which is such a mind-bogglingly stupid animal in assumes if you can't see it
it can't see you, and even dry yourself off with it if it still seems clean enough.
