Enough is enough...

In Australia, our national broadcaster 'The ABC' has actually been interupting the morning showing of the children's classic 'Sesame Street' with regular bulletins on "The war in Iraq" ,which contain graphic footage. Parents of children in the age group who watch Sesame Street have complained strenuously. The response from the ABC was that they were quite within their rights to show bulletins of breaking news regardless of the content of the show that they are interupting.
Editorial question: Does the broadcaster have the right to do this, or are they being irresponsible considering the distress that this may cause young children?
