Wooden Coffee Stirrers

All right. Real funny. We're not leaving here until one of you admits responsibility for this. If the guilty party doesn't turn himself in then you all will have to suffer...
Pay attention all of you coffee shop owners. Here's an equation for you:
Recently, replacing the traditional plastic coffee stirrers with wooden ones has become the trendy thing to do. I guess it looks more environmentally sound.
What has apparantly been forgotten is that coffee stirrers are supposed to stir coffee not limply wade around in it.
What should you do?
Aside from petitioning your local politician to introduce a bill banning this evil yuppie invention from your area, I suggest looking for a plastic spoon.
Trendy coffee shops also have trendy foods (for instance, cold vegetarian soups) and may just have a need for spoons. As far as I'm concerned, a buck fifty american for a cup of coffee entitles you to the best plastic stirrer money can buy so don't be afraid to ask if you don't see any spoons around.
Perhaps a better solution altogether is to find a different place to get coffee. Maybe if we all work together, we can finally put an end to these psudo-poetry corners and bring back the days where coffee was simply a wonderful beverage not a high-powered commodity.
