Camera

A camera is frequently used on earth as a way of preserving the memories of friends, relatives and other standing, sitting or in some extreme cases lying down in an awkward position they would never have been in otherwise. Somehow, some people always look good on pictures taken with cameras. These turn into models. Those who look bad turn into the people who ogle at models.
Note: In many countries the word cheese is used as a warning that a picture is now being taken and that all should start looking rediculous, dropping their pants and start making victory-signs on top of eachothers heads. (i.e. like 'fore' in golfing or 'i'm gonna kick your ass' in wrestling.)
