As a person who can't survive without breakfast I have always loved american breakfasts and used to insist on dragging my parents to Shoneys whenever we were on holiday. Shoneys do a fantastic breakfast buffet the content of which really depends on the state you are in at the time. It usually start off with a selection of fruit, the cearals, baked goods ie muffins doughnut etc, the hot food, mmm brittle bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage patties; grits, biscuit and gravy if your in the south, and of course pancakes and maple syrup. So much to choose from.
Though on a recent visit to Denmark I reaquiented myself with the lovely scandiavian breakfast of cooked meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, and lovely bread though I quite happily avoid the pickled fish .
