Twelve Tribes Messianic Communities
Created | Updated Jul 23, 2002
The Twelve Tribes is a religious sect, members of which adhere to the original word of the man Jesus, more properly Yahshua; they view all other religious denominations sprung from this original as a corruption of Yahshua’s true intent. To live with one of the messianic communities of the Twelve Tribes is to live in common working for the commonweal; to join is to give up everything. Twelve Tribes have spread from America to other places around the world; in England they can be found at Stentwood Farm, Dunkeswell, at Honiton, Devon.
Objective of the Twelve Tribes is to create Heaven on Earth, a society in which everyone works in support of every other; a place to live free from fear of loneliness, neglect, want; a place safe for children to grow to their full potential. Twelve Tribes communities now welcome visitors after the Island Pond fiasco when state authorities seized their children, alleged to have been abused.
If the Twelve Tribes live up to the promise of their literature then life in the commune looks attractive; it would be a wonderful way of disencumbering oneself of accumulated baggage1.
