Introducing - The Unicorn Party

They believe in one god, whatever you call him/her or it. They see different Gods, prophets and entities people may choose to communicate with as different faces of the same god. They do not claim to be or represent a chosen people, but all people, of all beliefs, and all backgrounds pooling our beliefs, energies and living by a code that everyone agree upon.

They encourage people not to drop other religions but to practice the new one in parallel with their old one. They see it as an overlay that will provide access to the spirit through any religion, or as a stand alone, and other religions representing cultural and historical material. We asked them to define their mission and they replied:-

Our Mission

1. We want to pool the best of all religions to produce a relevant religion for this time, that is fun, inspiring, and available to all.
2. We want to make religion a celebration, a pooling of energies towards a common good, and friendship, understanding and love for all people.
3. We want to offer the chance for more people to experience for themselves first hand the spirit, to teach them how to communicate and hear their god, to understand the meaning and purpose of life, and to overcome the fear of death.
4. We want to see tolerance, and acceptance of other peoples views, of older religions which were all made up at some previous point, and those who echo old texts to start to understand the real message that the prophets they claim to follow were giving.
5. We want to see honesty, the defeat of corruption, to stop injustice, the closure of all prisons, and opportunities available to everyone.
6. We want to see health systems that is able to provide the help you need when you need it, and equally available to everyone wherever they are in the world.
7. We want to see healthy fresh food produced as far as possible by our own Farmers, and growers, and far greater emphasis on safety in what we eat and the environment. To see methods of distribution and economic models created that allow food to be made available to everyone in all lands.
8. We want to see all life valued, so a life in a far of country is valued equivalent to a life of a neighbour, to find methods of overcoming disagreements that does not require war, and the removal over time of all weapons from all countries.
9. We want to see education available to all, freedom of speech and thought, including those who oppose up, and encourage the development of science, but also encourage where an answerer is not known for us to acknowledge that it is unknown at this time, rather than feel we have to accept some theory.
10. We accept that your views on the above and all others points are just as valid as our own and we welcome all views, and we particularly welcome the views of those who are inspired by the spirit, and the young who are less harnessed by habit. We will try to show tolerance and understanding to the echo's, and others who are unable to see any view but their own.

What a fantastic idea, but could it work, with extremists and so many vested interests. The parties and other ideas all look great fun, but O dear, they are going to upset a few people I think!!!
