Here in the colonies we had a number of similar but slightly different methods (some due to language differences)-
The colours of the rainbow was a name: Roy G. Biv
Sine, Cosine was different too: Some People Have Curly Brown Hair 'Til Painted Black (don't ask me what they represent I forgot long ago)
My memory has not improved with age but I will always remember the name of a teacher who tried to help me with visualisation. I see a hearse beautifully painted with classic scenes. His name? Mr. Arthurs.

I noticed another Canadian (?) difference...
Rather than "every good boy deserves football" for the letters of the musical scale, I learned "every good boy deserves fudge."
Seems like math teachers hold a special place in the mnemonics hall of fame...for me it was for the signs of the trig functions in the different quadrents: "Al Sarna Takes Crack."

Excellent, I'm surprised it isn't used at this end of the map with *Surrey* (no not the British one, the one next to Vancouver).
