I like the historical and witty put downs here eg the Churchill one
'If I was your wife I'd poison your coffee/
If you were my wife I'd drink it!'
But a lot of the put downs here are just childish taunts, have we lost that level of wit over the years?
k rebelling against the offensive 'You're ugly' 'You're fat' 'You're gay' name-calling...

I like the other famous Churchill put-down, when a lady accused him of being drunk. "I may be drunk, but you, madam, are ugly", came the reply, followed by, "However, in the morning, I shall be sober."
