History

It was generally believed by esoteric scholars and philosophers that the human race has a history longer and richer than current records claim. That there have been two other great civilizations before this, and that we are still treading in the accomplishments of our ancestors.

The learned men say, the evidence is everywhere. The ruins of those times lie all around us. That these people had advanced far in such fields as stellar travel, nuclear physics, and genetic engineering.

No one knows then, why these shining states are no longer with us. There are periods of darkness in our view of the past, but none blacker than these. It was because of, the scholars whisper, war.

And they wondered if that past would ever reach out and mar the future.

Now it has come to pass. It has been written that a wave of vengeance shall sweep the universe; annihilating everything we have sought to reach for.

But not if we have a say, that is.

Description

Shaped out of some obsidian material that glitters in the cold starlight, the Khar Siid (pronounced Shi-id) is made up of four sections surrounding the black Star Chamber and stellar drive.

Each section, placed above, below, and to the sides of the pulsing armored sphere, is long, tapered, and bladelike. There is an air of danger about sleek lines of the ship, like a bird of prey, or a medieval weapon.

The top section, larger and longer than the other three, is the main section. Crew quarters and living space is located here.

The bottom is the carrier part of the ship. Smaller craft are built and deployed here, and the ship's weaponry systems are concentrated here.

The two smaller and sharper blades at the sides have minimal crew areas, and are mostly automated. They focus on sensors, shielding, and propulsion.

The spheroid chamber hanging from the main blade section is where the chained black star is contained. Forces of unimaginable power are controlled and harnessed here, and the collapsed star's own gravitic power is released and manipulated to create the space warp.

The ship is so huge it has monorails, dropchutes, and frictionless tubes to go from one section or another. There are tunnels and crawlspaces everywhere. The ventilation system is virtually its own complex.

There are several important areas on the ship and are listed here:
The Bridge
Ready Room
Captain's Dining
Engineering
Medilab
The Hangar
Shuttlebay 1
The Brig
The Promenade
The Arboretum
Barracks
The Mess Hall
The Bulletin Board
