An Attic is the story or room directly below the roof of a house. It is sometimes easily accessible, though usually it is not.
An Attic is seldom 'attic'. Which is to say, it can seldom be described as possessing or representing, in any way, classical purity. It rarely suggests anything of ancient Attica.
It is usually a small, stuffy place full of ancient insulation and mouse droppings.
