h2g2 Academy Awards - The Peta's
Created | Updated Apr 10, 2003
Voting may have closed for all you Academy of
Motion Picture Science and Arts members out there
since voting for the little gold guy closed on
Wednesday.
However, for the rest of us who are less
well connected and have no vote in the Oscars, there is
still time to cast your vote. In fact voting in the
hotly contested 2nd Annual H2G2
Academy Awards doesn't, in fact, end until the
first round of applause from the Kodak Theatre
signals that all the nominees are either in their seat
or cowering in the toilets. In fact there have been a
few requests from Oscar nominees to ask if they can
attend our little awards ceremony on the night
instead.
Unfortunately I have had to inform Russell, Halle
and one or two others that the exclusive production of
our own award ceremony will be broadcast only in next
week's h2g2 Post when a cast of many will assemble to
read the results of who is going to awarded with this
years Petas.
Fancy presenting an Award?
As is traditional in these awards, I'll be looking
for a different researcher to present each of the
awards, so if you have a tuxedo that fits or a
designer dress in need of a good airing, drop by my space and post your willingness
to present an award there. I'll be allocating these on
a first come first served basis. All I'll ask you to
do is write a little intro for your award and I'll
insert the names of the nominations and the winners.
So if you feel up to presenting an award to one of the
Hollywood greats, this may be your best chance.
Watch this space for the final climatic results
next week. And don't forget you only have 4 days left
to vote.
