Latest news from 360 - Changing the World by Degrees.
One of the BBC's foreign correspondents, Jonathan Charles, has been
answering questions from the 360 on conflict and conflict resolution.
Jonathan's spent more than 15 years at the forefront of war in places like
Chechnya, the Middle East, Afghanistan and the Balkans. We're emailing the
community's questions to him as he's not really able to sit down peacefully
and go through the site each night!
The first set of answers will be up on the site on Friday.
One of the next projects that 360 will be highlighting is 'Your Wake Up
Call' a conference of young people from the UK and South Africa which takes
place at the 'Young People's Parliament' in Birmingham between April 7th and
12th. More than 100 teenages will be giving pledges to work for the
environment over the next ten years - and outlining the kind of projects
they will be instigating.
Everyone from this conference is meeting again at the Earth Summit in
Johannesburg in September so it's an exciting prospect for us. Richard
Creasey, the founder of 360, has been invited to fly the 360 microlight to
the Birmingham conference to open it and encourage the youngsters to use 360
as part of their community. Richard will also be going to Johannesburg and
flying his microlight around South Africa filming the projects being worked
on there.
We'll be filming the conference so look out for it on the 360 site.
Hope to see you there!
