A Conversation for 'Carmina Burana' - Drink, Sex and Medieval Monks
First conductor of Carmina Burana to British choir

Hi, I'm trying to find out the name of the conductor who was the first to conduct a British choir singing Carmina Burana.
I sang this at university in De Montfort hall with a number of other university choirs and the same guy conducted us. I can't remember his name and it's driving me nuts! We would have done our performance in 1997. I think the guy is Polish or Eastern European at least.
Hope someone knows and can put me out of my misery!
Nicola
