On this day 23 years ago an Icon of 1960's
television supposedly passed away, but it was only his
body double who posed in publicity shots for CBS. This
weeks potted history in 45 words celebrates the TV
career of the real icon.
Mr Ed 1949 -1970
A horse is a horse or course, unless it can talk.
Trained by Les Hilton he appeared from 1961 - 66 to
talk to Wilbur Post, peanut butter being the secret to
timing.
He telephoned, surfed, flew, drove and played
baseball.
Not bad for a horse!
