Hehehehe... nothing illegal... Not that I can think of... Don't arrest me... I don't like jail.... or is that supposed to be the point?

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jul 10, 1999
did you through 3 doubles - jail is only nice when other nice people are there
draw your own conclusions

Well, if I can be sent to Wentworth Detention Centre then I'm up for anything.

Spirit of Olias (occasional spectre) Posted Jul 12, 1999

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jul 12, 1999
Jonathon Aitken
I think I'll give the cricket a miss
42... Which is...
Smiley Ben Posted Jul 13, 1999
Erm... It looks to me like Aitken is one of the nastiest of the bunch!

Steve Spandau Ballet Man and Matthew Bug Boy are also in prison...oh-oh, got Eastenders mixed up with real life again there.
Quite apt seeing as Spandau is a prison...oh shut up.
I wouldn't mind being in prison with Matthew Bug Boy, although I'd have preferred to share a cell with Joe Tin Foil.

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jul 13, 1999
I wouldn't really like to share a cell with any of them - esp. mr aitken.
Is anyone else in prison - they let robert downey jr out

Jonny Zoom Posted Jul 13, 1999
Jonathan Aitken should get an extra sentence for that dreadful poem he wrote. Anyway, he isn't in a real prison, he is in a cushy holiday camp prison. In fact he is probably serving his time in Center Parcs.
42... Which is...
Smiley Ben Posted Jul 13, 1999
That's not actually as true as you might think. Apparently there are much cushier prisons that he could have been sent to but wasn't.

Smiley Ben Posted Jul 13, 1999
When my (ex-) school was throwing out book the chief librarian really wanted to send a package to Aitken... You know... books for prisoners or whatever...
42... Which is...
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jul 13, 1999
they didn't try and send him anything by oscar wilde did they?
anyhow prisoners don't have time to read - that's not cushy or modern enough
42... Which is...
Smiley Ben Posted Jul 13, 1999
... erm... I was under the impression that these days about all you could do in prison is read...
42... Which is...
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jul 14, 1999
erm
last I heard you could watch tv and videos, have a job, make money, start a relationship
in fact that the only thing you couldn't do was do everything anytime you want

Oh, I know over here in some parts of Oz, you can ask for your cell to be painted a certain colour, and that you can have a job, do heaps of things. Some prisons are like 3-4 star hotels actually. It is known that some of the repeat offenders do it just because they have such a lovely stay, and can't get it anywhere else with out paying for it.

Smiley Ben Posted Jul 15, 1999
Never underestimate how horrible thousands of slamming doors can be. I know a number of people becoming lawyers who, having visited prisons, say they couldn't cope simply for the slamming doors...

Well they'd better not come live anywhere near me then
