You can't be a native if you're leaving the "t" in. A born and bred Sheffield illiterate drops the whole word including the "t," and should know, I've lived here all my life.

Aye, well, tain' easy to type a glottal stop, is it? I could hardly use " below ' peace gardens".
That's how I'd say it, you're right, but there's no keyboard in the world built for typing Sheffield.

Your tone seems to imply that I'm some kind of nesh southern Sheffield wannabe, when in fact I am the genuine article, all be it a north west valley boy who can spit on Barnsley from his bedroom window (and often do). I am, however, literate.

I just thought you were one of these southern types that tries to do the old "down t' pit" line. I'm a full blooded Sheffield bloke from S6 used to the cop at Wednesday and a pint and a fight in Hilsborough and educated at a run-down comprehensive...To be any more "Sheffield" than that you have to be out of work and violently prejudiced.

Me and a couple of others have been wandering about the construction materials, it basicly looks like some sort of laminated uber-plywood.

Oh and speeking as a southener who has been visiting Sheffield[1] for the past 9 years not all of us are nesh ;->
